How much does a psychiatrist cost in Mumbai?

What does a psychiatrist cost in Mumbai?

At Weave, outside an assessment, every session is 20 or 30 minutes and you choose the length when you book. A 20-minute session is INR 2,200 and a 30-minute session is INR 3,000. Assessments and the couples session have their own fees, listed below; other practices set their own fees.

  • A full assessment for ADHD, autism or development is up to two 50-minute sessions at INR 8,500 in total, with a written summary, and a focused assessment is a 30-minute sitting at INR 3,000. Weave sets its own fees and does not speak for other practices.

Time

A longer appointment costs more than a short one. A 20-minute session and a 30-minute session are different pieces of work.

Who you see

Psychiatrists and psychologists do different jobs. The fee follows the job, not the person.

First visit or follow-up

A first visit often wants the longer of the two lengths, because the whole story is new. You choose the length either way.

Online or in person

At Weave the fee is the same either way. What changes is your travel and your time off work.

A session or an assessment

A full assessment is priced as its own piece of work, because it is up to two sessions with a written summary at the end. Both are in the table below.

What a first appointment is like

You do not need a speech, old reports, or clinical words. A few honest sentences are enough.

Before we meet

We settle the practical details on WhatsApp. For an online appointment, find a spot where you can speak privately.

We start with your life

We ask what has been happening, what matters to you, and what has helped or hurt so far.

We think out loud

We say what we are noticing and ask what you make of it. If medicine is relevant, we go through the choices and the trade-offs.

We agree one next step

You can ask, pause, or say no, and decisions are discussed with you.

Paying

Payment is by UPI once your appointment is confirmed. It is not part of a first message.

We reply within one working day. Weekend messages are answered by Monday.

Questions people ask about fees

Is there a free first consultation?

No. Weave does not offer one, and there is no trial appointment either. Every appointment carries the fee listed in the table above.

Do I pay before or after?

After your appointment is confirmed. Payment is by UPI, and the payee reads Weave Psychiatry. You can send the screenshot back on WhatsApp. There is a payment page that walks through it.

Does the fee change if I meet online?

No. The fee is the same online and in person. What a video appointment spares you is the travel, not the fee.

Who will I actually see?

You can see Dr. Niharika Reddy or Dr. Wilfred D'souza for a psychiatric consultation. Dr. Wilfred D'souza is a Consultant Psychiatrist. He offers the same psychiatry and therapy services as Dr. Niharika Reddy.

What if I cannot afford it right now?

If finances are tight, talk to us. A first message can raise it.

Will insurance pay for this?

That depends on your policy and on what the regulator requires of it. We wrote a plain-language page on what the law and the regulator actually say.

How many appointments will I need?

We cannot say in advance, and any page that gives you a number is guessing. Some things settle in one or two visits. Others need a longer stretch. We review the plan with you as we go.
