The morning after a slip The morning after a slip. You said you would not, and you did. Now it is morning, and the mind has a lot to say. This is not a lecture. Three things first. If your body is shaking, sweating, or confused this morning, or if you have had a fit after stopping something, that needs a doctor today, not a track. Stop here and go. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call your Weave clinician, or Tele-MANAS on one four four one six, now, before anything else. If this gets too much, open your eyes, look around the room, and come back to the day. Sit or lie down. Eyes open or closed. One long breath out. Now, the fact, in one plain line, in your head. I said I would not, and I did. The voice wants to add more. Here we go again. That voice sounds like honesty, but it is not. Let it talk, and do not follow it. Find where the morning sits in the body. Heavy head, tight chest, a sick feeling. Let your attention rest there without fixing it. Breathe around it. Out, long and slow. Again. Put a hand on the chest, or the belly, if that is all right. Say something kind, silently. Something like: this is a hard morning. Or: I am still here. A slip is one day. It is not the end of the thing you were building. What you managed before it is still true. Now the smallest next thing, for today only. Water, a wash, food, telling one person. Choose one. The lecture can stop now. What is left is today, and one small thing. One more long breath out. Open your eyes if they were closed. Go and do the one small thing. If you are in danger or feel you cannot keep yourself safe, call your Weave clinician, or Tele-MANAS on one four four one six, any time.
